Ben Hurley is a campaigns and communications professional with 15 years of experience delivering for high-profile organisations, companies and individuals. Ben has a solid, strategic and straightforward approach to communications support which he has developed working with good people doing good things.
Following a once-in-a-lifetime 5.5 year journey telling the story of the outstanding delivery of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Ben built a portfolio of clients spanning a range of sectors as an independent consultant.
From demolition through to the creation of the Olympic Park and hosting of the greatest sporting event on Earth, Ben applied his communications specialism to a huge range of complex areas from landscaping, regeneration, design, engineering and planning through to incident management, press operations and elite and community sport. The passion and vision of people that created the Olympic Park venues, infrastructure, homes, neighbourhoods and open spaces inspired Ben to create 100Vision Communications and Campaigns.
Previously Ben led major national campaigns at the Trade Union Congress including the successful campaign for compulsory employee pensions, introduced in 2012, a PR week award-winning campaign on work/life balance, unprecedented investor activism with pension fund trustees and employee support for the ground-breaking Make Poverty History campaign.
Ben advises the The Parks Alliance, the voice of UK parks, on communications strategy as a member of the establishing Board and as an independent consultant Ben provided strategic and hands-on support to clients including: The Armitt Review of UK Infrastructure Planning; the Heritage Lottery Fund; Crystal Palace rebuild/regeneration; London Parks and Green Space Forum; the National Lottery Olympic Park Anniversary Run; The British Airline Pilots’ Association; The British Athletics Sainsbury’s Summer Series (London & Birmingham); Commonwealth Games England (Queen’s Baton Relay 2014); specialist sports PR agency Run Communications.
